Event Information
Welcome to the 3rd annual Dong Classic Tennis Tournament. For returning competitors, we have new, creative awards and handicaps, and plenty of more tennis to play. So much so, that we've expanded to FOUR courts. For new competitors, get ready for tennis with a twist to level the playing field. And for all, have fun! So grab your partner and start practicing for the biggest tennis tournament (in Centreville, Virginia).
TICKETING INFORMATION
Tickets will be on sale until Sunday, April 30 or whenever all team spots are filled. Tickets are $40/person and covers tournament costs (court reservation, prizes, materials, etc.) You will also receive a t-shirt, free 1st drink and food at the social, and maybe even a trophy. TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE
9:00am - Team Check-in
9:30am - Opening Announcement
9:45am - Pool Play
1:00pm - Bracket Play
2:30pm - Finals
3:00pm - Awards Ceremony
3:15pm - Tournament Social at Ono Brewing Company
TOURNAMENT FORMAT
Team Format: Doubles
Game Format: Best of 5 games
Tournament Format: Pool play, which seeds into 4 brackets. Each team will play the 3 other teams in your pre-designated pool. Team rankings in the pool will determine which bracket you play in based on wins, game and point differentials.

Next 4 compete in the Plate
Next 4 compete in the Bowl
Next 4 compete in the Shield
Handicap Format: Handicaps will only be applied for pool play. If your team is winning by one game, you will have Handicap #1 (TBA). If your team is winning by two games, you will add on Handicap #2 (TBA). (see picture below for last year's handicaps!)
Refereeing: Each court will have a designated ref who will keep track of the scores and determine outs.
TOURNAMENT LOGISTICS
What to Bring: A racquet, good footwear, comfy chair and a partner. If you need a partner, we can pair you up, just let us know.
What We'll Provide: Tennis balls, extra racquets, water bottles, event t-shirts, snacks, and more!
